Here’s What Happened After the Marathon…

“The Marathon Continues…”

Dear Friends!

On May 6th and 7th of 2023, APS had the honor of being a participating charity in the Pittsburgh
Marathon! This was our first year participating in the Marathon as an Organization. We had huge
ambitions for participation and fundraising, and while we didn’t reach our targeted mark in either area,
we reached something much greater…

More people know who we are. Many times, during my run, people
asked me “Who are you running for?”, and with our Running Shirts
reading “Run For The Youth”, I responded saying “For The Youth.”.

Without immediate mention of APS, I felt that was the appropriate
answer to that question. APS has a story that led to its existence, and
that story doesn’t start without Young People. Young People and their
dreams are the foundation of why we ran in the Pittsburgh Marathon,
and will continue to be in the years to come.

We want to thank EVERYONE!!! The runners, volunteers, students,
parents, and Pittsburgh Marathon team for your cooperation,
participation, and generosity during this effort. We also want to
specifically thank our Donors, whom combined with all parties listed
before, let us know that People Believe in Young People! If you still
would like to contribute to these efforts, our Fundraising Page will be up
until the end of May!

With that said, we still seek to establish, build, and create more within
APS! Therefore, The Marathon Continues!
